From performing the state’s first transplant, to initiating the current-longest kidney chain in the nation, the team at UAB’s CTI has a lot to celebrate for. And they’re not alone. Along with their dedication to innovation, landmark research, and continuous teaching, the CTI has performed more than 14,000 organ transplants since 1968.
